Traffic (the good kind)

So I started another business (I guess) when I began to sell things on Etsy. In truth I never wanted this to be like that. I wanted it to be a hobby. I suppose it still is a hobby it is just a hobby that involves advertising and figuring out taxes (which I am trying to pretend don't exist).

Etsy, like many other places with a search function, has an algorithm that determines where you end up in any given search. For example, if I am looking for an art deco engagement ring with diamonds and sapphires I could type in "art deco ring" or "art deco sapphire ring". The closer your item matches the higher it would be in the search results (naturally) but what if there are hundreds of art deco rings with sapphires? Well then the algorithm looks at how many people have viewed the item, when it was last updated and how many "favorites" it has.

So, I purchased a ring a few months ago that is, quite possibly, one of the most beautiful pieces of art deco quality in existence.I call it the magnet. I could spend hundreds of dollars in advertising and not get the amount of traffic this one ring has gotten me. Which poses a problem: what do I do when it sells?
